Meet the Characters
Smeagle the Beagle
Smeagle is a lively young Beagle dog who is always looking for an adventure. His escapades are countless as he follows his curious nose and his trusting heart. Wherever he goes, trouble is never far behind.
Kit the Raccoon
Kit is a young raccoon who Smeagle meets in a tree. He’s a bit of a smart aleck and sometimes lets his mouth get ahead of his good sense. He turns out to be a great friend when Smeagle needs one the most.
Rinkly the Coyote
Rinkly the coyote is Kit’s nemesis. Rinkly brags a lot and won’t admit that getting old has limited his ability to hunt and provide for himself. This causes him to be overconfident and gets him into situations that are comical and sometimes dangerous.
Livvy & Ollie the Otters
Livvy and Ollie are fun-loving otters who get Smeagle into and out of more trouble. They also teach him a lesson about not letting his troubles spoil his fun.
Twink the Rabbit
Twink is a speedy rabbit who presents Smeagle with a puzzle, teaches him what nocturnal means, and plays a dangerous game with Whisper, the owl.
Whisper the Owl
Whisper is a large Great Horned owl. She’s smart, determined, and most of all silent. She strikes without warning, carrying Smeagle into the wilderness.
Jake the Collie
Jake is a large hairy Collie dog with a pointy nose, who seems to be Smeagle’s replacement. Ben’s dad, Mike, plans to teach him to be a mountain rescue dog.
Ben the Boy
Ben is the boy that Smeagle longs to make it home to. He’s friendly and caring, but he can be impulsive and also lose track of time.
